When an animal is born, there is usually a celebration at zoos. A Przewalski’s horse, sometimes referred to as a Mongolian wild horse, was just born at the Marwell Zoo. The species is listed on the “red list” of severely endangered animals.
The new horse has sparked excitement at the zoo. Throughout the pregnancy, the mother received extra care. Ultimately, the mare gave birth to a healthy foal.
The zoo administration does not yet know the sex of the foal because it was delivered at night.
This zoo pays close attention to the Przewalski family’s horse breeding practices. We are happy that they were successful.
They are Central Asian horses. They are typical of Mongolia’s Gobi Desert. The females don’t give birth until 11 or 12 months after they’ve been carrying the foal.
These species are short in stature and have thick necks and large heads. They have short legs. These horses can live in arid environments.
I completely agree that short horses are adorable and beautiful.
