Animal rights activists discovered a sickly puppy on the street around three years ago.
Jilio, the cat, was later taken to the dog, who was already in a shelter at the time. She felt an instant connection with the sympathetic Mirosa, as if she had found a friend and protector in him.
The cat began to lavish the dog with love and attention, refusing to leave and even becoming devoted at times. Jilio gave him a bear hug and tried his hardest to please.
When the owners were located, the cat was returned to the shelter and happily went to live with her companion because she refused to connect with anyone. Volunteers are currently seeking hosts who will accept both, and we hope they are successful. Animals, regardless of species, will always express thanks to humans and one another.
