There are many animals living in shelters, and among them, there are some unique characters, such as Merlin the cat. Despite being blind, Merlin is a charming and friendly pet that pleases his family with his exemplary character.
His unusual eyes, inherited from his Munchkin and Persian parents, make him stand out immediately. Nathaniel and Elliot, Merlin’s owners, initially had doubts about adopting a blind kitten, but they eventually fell in love with him and never regretted it.
Despite being smaller than a bottle, Merlin is a very sociable cat who loves to be petted and sit on people’s laps. He quickly adapts to new places and doesn’t fear bumping into things. Merlin also gets along with other animals and is a gentleman who rarely scratches things or yells. Interestingly, he prefers watermelons over fish or chicken, and he enjoys walking outside.
While it is unfortunate that Merlin will never see the world, his blindness doesn’t stop him from living a happy life with his loving family. Nathaniel and Elliot express their gratitude to the shelter and its workers for giving them such a precious and unique cat.
