Your hearts will likely melt as a result of this unique bond between species. Meet Jotto, a young elephant, and Pea, an ostrich, who developed a special bond at an elephant orphanage where they first met. The newborn elephant was just one month old when Sheldrick Wildlife volunteers saved him. His second shot at life was granted to him.

Soon after this rescue, the sanctuary staff discovered Pea and Pod, two orphaned ostrich chicks that had been taken to the same refuge as the baby elephant.
