On her way to the store one day, Faikes observed a dog that was obviously unwell as she was going past it. It was clear from the dog’s protruding belly that she was pregnant and on the verge of giving birth.
Under the intense sun, the dog was sweating profusely, was weary, and was dehydrated. Fykes was worried that the dog was giving birth and wouldn’t make it through. In order to get the dog to Richie’s residence, he got her into the car. They provided her with food, water, and a place in the corner to rest for a while. She was transported to the vet once she had a chance to collect herself. Lil’Mama was prepared for childbirth after they gave her the appropriate flea bath and removed the ticks.
It was impossible to tell if she had an owner because the vet failed to find a chip in her. According to the veterinarian, labor could start at any time within a few days. Faikes and Richie then drove her home to wait for the baby.
Her personality makes it clear that she is not a stray dog. She gets along with other dogs and is well-trained. Lil’ Mama is a capable mother as well. She gave birth a few days after we picked her up from the veterinarian. We predicted that she would have 6–8 puppies.
“However, up to 15 puppies were born!” said Richie. They started giving the babies puppy formula to eat. The goal of Fikes and Richie’s plan is to place the puppies in loving homes.
