Bulldog Left on the Streets, Suffering From Severe Mange

The most valuable relationship we have in life is with our dogs. We know that dogs should have a wonderful life, but tragically, we frequently hear reports that the situation is actually quite the opposite for many animals. Sadly, a bulldog puppy’s need to consume leaves in order to survive is proof of this. She had such bad mange that she almost completely lost all of her fur. When the Slaughterhouse Survivors learned about the dog, they responded quickly. The dog was given the name Pumpkin. Pumpkin was taken to a hospital by the savior.

After being examined, they discovered that Pumpkin had had acute mange, which had left her skin seriously inflamed. The thermometer was unable to even detect her body temperature because it was so low. She was eminently mortal. The vet confirms that Pumpkin probably wouldn’t have survived another day on the streets. She received IV fluids, medications, and antibiotics. They gave her warm saline through the IV to assist her in elevating her body temperature.

She did get better. They then began removing the dead, scaly skin off her torso. Pumpkin recently underwent eye surgery. Fortunately, everything went well.

Thankfully, the dog’s fur started to grow back thanks to her daily medicinal bathing. In Los Angeles, a rescue organization also helped her find a forever family. Because Pumpkin and her family reside in California, she frequently visits the beach. The family changed the dog’s name in order to offer her a new beginning. Kennedy is now her new name. She enjoys eating peanut butter and being near her mother’s ankles.
