When it comes to keeping a dog, Aleecia Dahl’s grandfather used to be uninterested, but these days he embodies what it means to be a proud pet owner.
Everything started when he first saw Coco. According to Dahl, Coco is the dog Grandpa never wanted but can’t live without. They are the best friends he could have ever asked for, they are.
It might be said that Coco and Grandpa are essentially inseparable. The adorable couple may frequently be seen relaxing in their favorite chair together when they aren’t out and about on an adventure.
Recently, though, that tried-and-true seat was retired, which prompted a hunt for a replacement with one very significant caveat.
Grandma and Grandpa had to buy new furniture when they relocated, Dahl recalled. The footrest on Grandpa’s lounge chair had to be large enough for him and Coco to sit side by side.
Grandpa made sure the furniture he selected fit Coco by bringing her to the store in a really cute way.
To find the ideal chair, “he brought Coco into several stores and tried out chairs,” Dahl recalled. Coco was always welcomed with a smile because I’m sure a man and his dog don’t go furniture shopping every day!
Coco undoubtedly welcomed the opportunity to offer her opinion on that crucial choice.
Fortunately, they eventually found a chair that fit them both perfectly—a chair fit for two good friends. That is what Dahl’s grandfather would prefer.
She’s his little best pal, Dahl said.
