Senior Dog Requests Family Visit to Favorite Location a Veterinarian

Buddy likes to go places. The beautiful 11-year-old puppy is excited to go anywhere in the car. But he favors a particular place over all others.

As a result, when Buddy discovers he’s going to the vet, he can’t help but exhibit his happiness.

Stephanie Trump, Buddy’s older sister, said, “I asked Buddy whether he wanted to go to the vet.” He starts whining once he realizes he is there for a test. Buddy’s fascination to the location eludes me completely.

After giving it some more thought, Trump came to the conclusion that Buddy most likely thinks he’s going for a lengthy stay at the vet, which could account for why he lights up.

It’s a relatively small clinic, so they pretty much know him, Trump said.

When Buddy arrives at the veterinarian’s office, the lab mix receives lots of love and snacks.

Trump described the man as “a big ol’ couch potato that is very food-oriented and enjoys being patted.” Buddy makes everyone he interacts with smile, whether they are at the vet, on the street, or at home. The exceptionally gifted child, however, came into his family’s life for the first time purely by accident.
“I have an autistic brother, and when we were kids, we had a Lab mix named Buddy,” Trump said. “My brother is always saying how much he wants a second Lab named Buddy,”
The family was aware that a nearby rescue had registered therapy dog Jax up for adoption, but they never made it there.

Buddy experienced a sudden sense of belonging to the family.

“He gives me motivation to seek out more,” said Trump. But more than anything, he consistently demonstrates his love for me.
