In 2013, Lassi Rautiainen, a Finnish professional photographer, got the uncommon opportunity to photograph a relationship between a brown male bear and a grey female wolf in the woods of northern Finland.
This couple travels together, plays together, and shares their meals. He says that this is the first time Rautiainen has seen such a relationship in Europe. He goes on to say that this friendship lasted at least ten days.
Even more, Rautiainen says that he is unaware of the motivation for their friendship. Perhaps because they are young, alone, and rely on someone else to get through.
It’s obvious that this couple considers themselves to be excellent friends, concentrating on the positive aspects of each other and eating together.
