A small metal thing that appeared to be on the leaves of a guava tree glistened like polished chrome in the sunlight. But then it began to crawl.
After all, it was a living being.
Farmer, who had observed the beetle, had discovered one of the world’s most unusual beetles, Chrysina limbata, a species famed for its silvery, reflective shells.
The farmer was taken aback after seeing it first.
When Farmer picked up the beetle, she stopped crawling and pretended to be dead, giving him a better look.
“I was wowed by how gorgeous it was,” Farmer said. “I’ve never seen anything like it before.”

Farmer stated, “I don’t believe in selling living creatures like that.” “I reattached it to the tree, and it flew away.”
