Yulelogs spent his early years at a marine park in the north of England before being released back into the wild. He had grown accustomed to receiving sweets from others after spending so much time in jail.
Yulelogs was rescued by the RSPCA three months after his release after worried members of the public complained that he was following people with buckets on the beach because he thought they contained fish.
Yulelogs was adopted by the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and has lived happily ever after. Male grey seals in the wild typically live to be around 25 years old, but Yulelogs recently celebrated his 31st birthday. To commemorate the occasion, the sanctuary offered him a special gift: an ice cake stuffed with fish.
Yulelogs was ecstatic about his birthday cake. It’s also a terrific type of enrichment for him because it involves some thought to figure out how to get the fish out of the cake. Yulelogs’ birthday party not only made him happy, but it also made his caregivers happy.
