“Julia, a courageous 23-year-old, embarked on a daring mission to protect a unique forest from logging. On December 10, she scaled a towering 55-meter tree while a crowd, including skeptical loggers, watched on. Contrary to their expectations, Julia remained perched on the tree for an astounding two years, accompanied by fellow environmental activists known as ‘the greens.’
Fueled by her passion for preserving nature, Julia was protesting against the imminent destruction of a majestic mammoth tree, aged over 500 years and standing tall at 60 meters. Swiftly climbing to its top, she took a stand against the approaching bulldozers and axes.
Throughout her challenging endeavor, like-minded individuals aided her in constructing a sturdy cabin at a height of 50 meters, offering her a safe haven. Despite enduring storms, harsh winters, rain, and attempts to force her down, Julia persevered, garnering attention from across the country. The logging company’s efforts to fell trees in the area proved futile, and even the president took notice of her cause.
In a significant victory, the logging company eventually yielded to Julia’s unwavering determination. Not only did she save the mammoth tree, but she also safeguarded a 100-meter-wide parcel of the precious relic forest.
Her remarkable tree-top protest lasted more than two years, during which Julia became a symbol of nature conservation. Today, she travels worldwide, presenting up to 250 shows per year, wholeheartedly dedicated to protecting the environment.”
