Today, there are numerous hobbies that people can engage in, some of which are accepted without question while others leave us perplexed.
A recent example that challenges our trust in social media comes from Japan, where a middle-aged man has developed a rather peculiar hobby – he maintains a social media account portraying a young girl.
Using a photo editing application called FaceApp, he transforms his own pictures to create the illusion of a youthful female appearance.
In reality, this Japanese man looks nothing like a woman, especially not a young one, but his edited photos present a strikingly different image.
The man describes himself as a creative individual who enjoys transformation and self-expression.
After taking a selfie, he applies FaceApp to digitally transform himself into a young girl with an attractive face. He then shares these edited images on his personal social media page.
Surprisingly, he has gained a significant following of over 13,000 followers in a relatively short span of time. He does not hide the fact that he is, in fact, a man.
“I am a man in my fifties who works from home, but I have a hobby. Using FaceApp, I take selfies and edit them,” the Japanese man explains.
