Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson have risen to worldwide fame as actors, amassing a considerable number of fans.
Surprisingly, both Emma Watson and Rupert Grint contemplated rejecting their roles in the “Harry Potter” film series.
Despite their immense success, fame at such a young age came with its fair share of drawbacks.
The actor portraying Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, struggled through the audition process and considered stepping away from the film franchise for a few years.
More recently, it came to light that both Rupert and Emma had entertained thoughts of departing from the beloved Wizarding World altogether.
Watson revealed that her journals from that time were filled with entries expressing feelings of loneliness.
“I think I was afraid then. I don’t know if Rupert felt it when the turning point came, and you realized that you would forever be associated with this character,” the star shared.
Grint confirmed that he experienced similar emotions during that period.
“I had the exact same feelings. And I constantly thought about giving it all up. But we never discussed it with each other. It never occurred to us back then that we were all going through a similar thing,” Rupert emphasized.
Even the director corroborated the information that Emma had contemplated leaving the “Harry Potter” franchise.
“Representatives from the studio and many individuals who worked on set informed me that Watson seriously questioned whether she should continue with the project,” stated David Yates.
