In a remarkable turn of events, two-year-old Sophia Misen, residing in Poole, Dorset, became a lifesaver when her 28-year-old mother, Samantha, fainted in the kitchen. Although Samantha had taught her older brother about appropriate actions in extreme situations, it was Sophia who sprang into action when her mother needed help.
The toddler used her fingers to unlock her mother’s phone, demonstrating remarkable dexterity for her age. Sophia opened Facebook Messenger and selected a picture of her grandmother, Debbie Baker, initiating a video call.
Despite being 255 kilometers away in Hertfordshire, the 50-year-old grandmother promptly answered the call and inquired about Samantha’s whereabouts and condition. Sophia informed her that her mother was unwell, prompting Debbie to request turning the phone to show Samantha. Upon seeing her unconscious on the floor, Debbie immediately dialed emergency services for assistance.
Sophia, accompanied by her four-year-old brother Ethan, fetched a blanket and pillow for their mother, patiently awaiting the arrival of medical professionals. Ethan was astonished by the sight of his mother fainting.
Samantha’s husband was not present at the time, leaving the children alone with their unconscious mother for approximately 45 minutes. Nearby relatives promptly arrived to care for the children once Sophia had conveyed the situation.
