Online discussions have also been buzzing with the Gwyneth Paltrow versus Terry Sanderson lawsuit in recent weeks.
To refresh your memory, the retired 76-year-old ophthalmologist accused the actress of colliding with him at high speed on a ski slope and allegedly abandoning him in the snow.
Initially, Terry sought a substantial compensation of $3.1 million from Gwyneth. However, the actress pleaded not guilty and filed a counterclaim.
Undeterred, the ophthalmologist pursued legal action and lowered his compensation demand to a more reasonable $300,000.
The trial commenced on March 21, with daily sessions taking place. Remarkably, Gwyneth personally attended every single one of them.
Last Thursday, after two hours of hearing and a mere 20 minutes of deliberation, the jury rendered their final verdict, absolving Paltrow of all charges.
Following the announcement by the judge, Gwyneth approached Terry and expressed her well wishes, to which he thanked her.
Notably, Paltrow provided an explanation as to why she chose to personally attend the court proceedings instead of merely settling the required amount.
“I felt that agreeing to the settlement would be validating false allegations against me. It would compromise my integrity. I am content with the outcome and appreciate the judge and jury’s diligent handling of the case. I am grateful for their attentiveness,” emphasized Gwyneth.
