She was left alone with four children. At that moment, the woman decided that she needed to radically change her life.
One day, Kara saw a tornado hit an apartment building. As a result, only the foundation of the building remained. This sight gave Kara the idea of building a frame house. After all, such a structure can be easily erected on your own.
Her children were ages 2, 11, 15, and 17 at the time.
She needed to obtain a loan from a bank in the amount of $150,000 to carry out the intended project. The entire family started work on constructing a sizable house with the help of construction supplies and YouTube videos.
They gained knowledge of how to install bricks, plasterboard walls, and pour concrete, but most significantly, they learned how to work well.
Kara believes that since they built a house, her kids are no longer terrified of any challenges, so she is no longer concerned about them.
Without any prior construction expertise, Kara confesses, “Building a house was extremely naive, but sometimes courage is buried beneath naivety.”
The home measured a whopping 1066 square meters! It includes five bedrooms, a sizable garage for three cars, a workshop, and a roomy living area. It also contains everything you could possibly want.
