Children now have the chance to create their own clothing designs. They turn their drawings into actual outfits thanks to a new internet service.
Jamie Newberry, a mother of two daughters combined, had this thought.
In a blog post, Jamie explained how Picture This Clothing got its start: “One winter break, I designed an outfit for my daughter Zia based on her own design. It captured Zia’s heart, and she kept talking to everyone about how she “carries her imagination!” Zia’s classmates and friends loved the outfit, and so did their parents, who all wanted to “wear their fantasy” too.
Jamie made the decision to start a business as a result.
Parents select the dress size on the website, then print the dress samples that are displayed there.
The samples are then colored and customized by the kids. Adults also leave applications on the website and share images of the completed dresses.
The finished dress is delivered to the purchaser in a short period of time.
The service is still undergoing testing. Only orders for dresses are accepted. But Jamie and her colleagues at work had alternative outfits in mind: T-shirts, skirts, trousers, etc.
