Chicagoan Claire Mack, 19, shared some interesting news with her TikTok fans. The child had a cough for over three months. She took care of herself at home by gargling her throat and drinking syrups and teas. But recently she made the decision to visit the doctor to find out what type of cough she had been experiencing for such a long period.
The physician determined that Mack required a chest x-ray and had a lung infection. The girl was shocked to see that her heart was on the right as most people’s hearts are.
The teenager was astonished and puzzled as to why she only learned about it now, at the age of 19. Dextrocardia is a very uncommon anomaly in the formation of the heart in which the most of the organ develops on the right side of the chest.
Less than 1% of people have this heart shape at birth. Most of the time it is not dangerous.
The youngster claimed that because she had never had a chest x-ray, she was just now learning where her heart was.
But her fans do not understand how she managed to live with it while oblivious to this serious anomaly.
