After All The Heartbreak, Jason Momoa Found New Love, And You’ll Surely Recognize Her

On Monday, Jason Momoa introduced his new girlfriend to the world on Instagram, and since then, the couple has been the talk of the internet. While he had been dropping hints about their romance for some time, this announcement might come as a surprise to some fans.

The 44-year-old actor met the 32-year-old actress on the set of the 2021 Netflix film *Sweet Girl* while he was still married to Lisa Bonet. However, there’s a twist!

Despite being separated for over five years, Momoa and Bonet remained legally married until their official separation on October 7, 2020. When Momoa and Arjona’s relationship heated up, it did not overlap with his marriage. Bonet filed for divorce on January 8 of this year, and their cases were settled amicably the following day.

With the opportunity to express his love openly, Momoa shared a carousel of photos from their recent trip to Japan on Instagram.

In the caption, he affectionately called Arjona “mi amor,” and their sweet photos together speak volumes. One photo shows them snuggling close, her hand gently resting on his arm while his arms encircle her.

“Japan, you are a dream come true; you blew my mind,” Momoa wrote. “We are very appreciative of everyone who opened their homes, allowing us to create memories with both old and new friends and go on yet another incredible journey with our beloved. Motorcycles and chaos on the road. My sincere regards, J.”

Arjona married lawyer Edgardo Canales in 2019, but little is known about their breakup or whether a divorce was sought. Although it seems Arjona has only recently joined the Momoa family, his stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz chose her to direct *Blink Twice*, featuring Channing Tatum, which hits theaters on August 23.

Momoa, Bonet, and Lenny Kravitz are likely to attend the wedding, which is expected to be grand given Kravitz and Tatum’s engagement.

Bonet and Momoa, who dated for 13 years, got married in October 2017. They have two children, Nakoa-Wolf, 15, and Lola, 16, who are being raised privately.

Their breakup was announced on Instagram in January 2022: “We’ve all experienced the pressure and adjustments of these revolutionary times… A revolution is taking place, and our family is no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. Therefore, we announce to our family that we are divorcing. We disclose this not because we believe it to be noteworthy, but rather so that we can live honorably and truthfully as we go about our daily lives.”
