Wrangler died at the age of only 6 years old. Because Wrangler was the star of “Puppy With a Purpose” on NBC’s Today when he was young, the tragic news of his passing affected many people across the US.
His untimely death was caused by liver disease, it was discovered.
The original handler of Wrangler noted in an Instagram post that the lab performed more than most humans in a short amount of time. He first served as a service dog. Then a guide dog, and lastly, he guarded every member of the police K9 unit.
Wrangler was developed in front of a large audience. He had just turned 8 months old when he began to appear on NBC Today. On 288 episodes of the program, he was present.
It was tough to accept that he bid us all farewell in 2016.
